Belly Fat

How do I lose stubborn belly fat?

Stubborn belly fat is a message, not a mystery. Once you read the message, the fat starts to move.

Stubborn belly fat is the body protecting you. It is fuel storage in case of emergency, hormone backup as estrogen falls, and overflow when blood sugar stays high. Until you address those three things, no amount of effort moves it.

Step one: stabilize blood sugar

Drop the constant snacking. Build meals around protein, fiber, and healthy fat. Walk for ten minutes after you eat. Insulin has to come down before fat can come off.

Step two: lower cortisol

Trade some of your hardest workouts for walking, weights, and sleep. Cortisol-driven belly fat does not respond to more punishment. It responds to safety signals.

Step three: rebuild muscle

Strength training two to three times a week tightens the entire midsection from the inside out, raises your metabolic rate, and gives the body somewhere better to put the food you eat.

Be patient with the right things

Belly fat is the last to arrive and the last to leave. When the system is right, it does leave — usually within 60 to 90 days of consistent, hormone-friendly living.
